What kind of leather do you use?

We use premium cowhide for the interiors and exteriors.  Soles and heels are leather, made from compressed "suela" leather (typical in the industry).  Interior leather is a thinner, soft cowhide.

Where does your leather come from?

All leather is bought in Chile, sourced from Chilean tanneries.  For larger orders we purchase from tanneries a few hours south of Santiago.  For smaller orders we purchase locally in Santiago.

Where is your workshop?

The SITRANA workshop is close to downtown Santiago, Chile.

How many people work at SITRANA?

We employ 6 shoemakers and we are in the workshop daily.

Are your workers paid an ethical wage?

Yes, well above market.

My shoes arrived and they are really tight, is that ok?

Yes, it's best for your pair to fit snug out of the box.  The leather will stretch to your feet over the first few wears.

What kind of construction is used on your shoes and boots?

We use a simple stitch -- basically a Rapid stitch - to attach the sole to the upper.  It's a durable construction, will last for many years of abuse, and is a lighter-weight construction method as compared to welted construction footwear.

Do you carry all models in your New York store?

We carry 8 styles of the 11+ in New York, in limited quantities for sizes and colors.  If an order is placed for a style not in stock we will build it and ship to you, wait times are usually 2-6 weeks.

Where can I go for more information?
